MUMBAI: Observing that she has every right to grab her career opportunities, a special court has allowed Yes Bank founder Rana Kapoor’s daughter Roshini Kapoor to visit the UAE and the US for about a month to broaden her career opportunities. “Of course, she is bound to join the trial whenever her presence is required. If the application is rejected, she will be deprived of career opportunities in her life,” special judge MG Deshpande said.
Roshini told the court that she wished to pursue a course at the Dubai-based Atton Institute on “Business Intelligence”, which is affiliated with several prestigious universities. Further, she wanted to attend the “International Conference on Business Management and Social Innovation” being conducted by IIERD in New York, US. The CBI and ED opposed her pleas.
The judge said that the ED and CBI and toher authorities concerned are directed to suspend the Look-out-Circular for the period between August 24 and September 16. “The applicant shall undertake not to indulge in any activities relating to proceeds of crime and crime proceeds, which are detrimental to the interest of both the prosecuting agencies ie ED and CBI,” the judge said.
In June observing that ever since she had been facing cases for the “misconduct” of her father, her future and career had become dark and stagnant, the same court granted Roshini permission to travel to the US to partake in two courses in contemporary art at the “Christie’s Education” in New York.
