NEW DELHI: The holiday schedule from the Reserve Bank of India indicates that banks in various states will be closed for a total of 14 days in March 2024.
In March, several states are poised to experience two consecutive long weekends, each spanning three days of bank holidays. The scheduling of these holidays is a collaborative effort between the respective state governments and the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
These include Sundays, the second and fourth Saturdays, public holidays, and certain regional holidays. It is crucial for bank customers to stay informed about these dates to plan their visits to the bank accordingly.
In March 2024, two extended bank holidays are scheduled. On March 8, banks in various states will remain closed, followed by the second Saturday and Sundays.
Moreover, with Holi falling on the Monday following the fourth Saturday and Sunday, numerous states will experience a three-day bank closure.
