X (formerly Twitter) has added a new feature that lets users search for jobs on the microblogging platform. The feature takes on the likes of job search and networking platforms like Microsoft’s LinkedIn, Naukri, Indeed, etc. The new feature comes in line with Elon Musk’s vision of making X the “everything app”.
X gets job search feature
The new job search feature has been added to the platform via filtres. X users can now use the filtres to look for job openings posted by several organisations. The filtres also let users specify the roles, experience levels and more.
The new job filters were spotted by web developer Nima Owji, whose post highlighted the changes and the post was then reshared by Musk himself.
Owji’s post reads, “X keeps working on the search filters for the job search! You’ll also be able to choose the seniority and also search for jobs from specific companies.”
Last month, X revealed that around 1 million companies have already posted job listings on the platform. This includes several companies and jobs in different industries like AI, financial services and SaaS.
Competes with LinkedIn
The new search feature puts X in line with LinkedIn which is one of the biggest job search and networking platforms. The new feature on X will allow users to find jobs which is also the case with LinkedIn. However, it is yet to be seen that how users will take this new job search feature on X.
Also, the job search feature isn’t all new. The feature has been there on the platform for a couple of months now, but only on the web.
For those unaware, X has recently received the ability to post longer posts and audio and video calling feature for all users, which was earlier limited only for Premium users.
