Banks will be closed for 12 days in July 2024 across different states, according to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday list. The holidays include regional, national holidays as well as both the second and fourth Saturdays as well as Sundays.
Banks will be closed on the occassions of Beh Dienkhlam, MHIP Day, Kang (Rathajatra), Drukpa Tshe-zi, Harela, Muharram/Ashoora/U Tirot Sing Day in July.

- July 3 ( Wednesday)– Banks will be closed in Meghalaya on the occasion of Beh Dienkhlam. Behdienkhlam is a festival celebrated primarily by the Pnar people of Meghalaya, India.
- July 6 (Saturday)- Banks will be closed in Mizoram on the occasion of MHIP Day. MHIP Day is celebrated on July 6 each year in Mizoram, India. M.H.I.P. stands for ‘Mizo Hmeichhe Insuihkhawm Pawl,’ which means ‘binding women together.
- July 8 (Monday)- Banks will be closed in Manipur on the occasion of Kang (Rathajatra). One of the most significant and well-liked celebrations for the Meitei population in Manipur is the Kang festival, often referred to as the Rath Yatra.
- July 9 (Tuesday)– Banks will be closed in Sikkim on the occasion of Drukpa Tshe-zi. Drukpa Tshe-zi is one of most auspicious and significant occasion for Buddhists all over the world.
- July 16 (Tuesday)– Banks will be closed in Uttarakhand on the occasion of Harela. Harela is a Hindu festival celebrated in the Indian state of Uttarakhand and in some regions of Himachal Pradesh
- July 17 (Wednesday)– Banks will be closed in Tripura, Mizoram, maharashtra, Karnataka, MP, Tamil Nadu, Hyderabad – Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad – Telangana, Rajasthan, Jammu, UP, Bengal, New Delhi, Patna, Chhattisgarh, Jharkahand, Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh , Srinagar on the occasion of Muharram/Ashoora/U Tirot Sing Day.
The Bank holidays have been designated by the RBI as follows: Holiday under the Negotiable Instruments Act; Holiday under the Negotiable Instruments Act and Real-Time Gross Settlement Holiday; and Banks’ Closing of Accounts.Most of the banking transactions including financial and non-financial transactions can be done via net banking, mobile banking, Whatsapp banking.
