The Microfinance Industry Network (MFIN), the premier association and RBI-recognized Self-Regulatory Organization (SRO) for the microfinance industry, has elected Manoj Kumar Nambiar, MD of Arohan Financial Services Ltd., as Chairperson, and Vineet Chattree, MD of Svatantra Microfin Pvt Ltd., as Vice-Chairperson at its 15th AGM for the year 2024-25.
Alongside the new leadership, MFIN members also elected Devesh Sachdev, MD & CEO of Fusion Microfinance Ltd., Dibyajyoti Pattanaik, Director of Annapurna Finance Pvt Ltd., and Krishnan Venkatesh, Executive Vice President of HDFC Bank Ltd., to the Governing Board.
The election process concluded with a farewell to the outgoing members, Udaya Kumar Hebbar, MD of CreditAccess Grameen Ltd., and Amardeep Samra, MD of Midland Microfin Ltd., who were recognized for their contributions and guidance. Alok Misra, CEO and Director of MFIN, presented tokens of appreciation to the outgoing members.

With the new appointments, the 8-member Board now includes Abhisheka Kumar, MD of Sindhuja Microcredit Pvt Ltd., Ankush Golechha, Director of Aviral Finance Pvt Ltd. (representing small MFIs), Devesh Sachdev, MD & CEO of Fusion Microfinance Ltd., Dibyajyoti Pattanaik, Director of Annapurna Finance Pvt Ltd., George K John, Executive Director of ESAF Small Finance Bank, and Krishnan Venkatesh, Executive Vice President of HDFC Bank Ltd.
The newly elected leadership is expected to steer the microfinance sector through its evolving landscape, focusing on integrating various regulated entities and driving sustainable growth for the industry.
