FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that Retail FX and CFDs broker Taurex has hired experienced FX industry executive James Watts, as the company’s new Commercial Director in Dubai.
James Watts was previously Head of International Sales for MultiBank (2019-2021), Head of Sales at AFX Group (2015-2016), and Head of Sales at IronFX (2013-2015). He has also worked at LCG, Alpari, and Swissquote. Most recently, James spent two years at UAE based crypto broker Evalect Group.
With responsibility for covering mainly the MENA region (with recently promoted Mark Sheng now in the UK), James will effectively replace the role of Amer Zino, who has left Taurex for ATFX Connect, as was exclusively reported here at FNG just last week.
Taurex recently rebranded from Zenfinex, which was established in 2017 in the UK by Dubai based Group CEO Nick Cooke, a former FXCM and LCG senior sales executive Nick Cooke. The company received FCA authorization in March 2019. Taurex is majority controlled by Oscar Hilt Tatum IV, a Saint Kitts and Nevis citizen who now resides in the UAE and runs offshore investment firm iPoint Capital Partners.
