Continuing the slew of recent sports sponsorships and brand ambassador signings by Retail FX and CFDs brokers, Poland based XTB (WSE:XTB) has revealed a new agreement with recently retired footballer Zlatan Ibrahimović.
XTB will also unveil a new tagline, “Where your money works,” as part of the marketing campaign centered around Zlatan.
XTB has grown to become one of the world’s largest online brokers, with most of its business centered around its home market in Poland and central Europe. The company’s shares are up more than 50% in 2024 year-to-date, although down about 20% from a late May peak, after founder and controlling shareholder Jakub Zablocki sold $135 million worth of stock, taking his stake in XTB down below 50% for the first time.
XTB Chief Growth Officer Szymon Szymański, pictured above with Zlatan, posted the following explanation on social media yesterday.

This advertisement is significant for XTB as it introduces a new brand ambassador and a new positioning.
I have been with XTB for over 5 years now, and it is a pleasure to see the journey this company has taken during that time. Expanding our product offering has allowed us to change the nature of the company and transform into a true investment app.
The new brand ambassador is Zlatan Ibrahimović, and anyone who knows me even a little knows how much I love football. That’s why I am extremely excited about this choice, both personally and professionally.
As part of the new campaign (with more to come in the near future), we are also introducing XTB’s new positioning – “Where your money works.” XTB is a place for anyone who wants to take care of their money effectively, regardless of their risk tolerance or experience in the market.
