BitMEX introduces the XBTX24 Bitcoin futures contract, available for trading from September 24, 2024, with settlement on November 29, 2024.





BitMEX has announced the launch of its new Bitcoin (BTC) futures contract, XBTX24. According to BitMEX Blog, the contract went live for trading at 04:00 UTC on September 24, 2024. The XBTX24 futures contract will be available until its expiration on November 29, 2024.

Details of the XBTX24 Contract

The XBTX24 contract is the latest addition to BitMEX’s suite of monthly Bitcoin futures contracts. The trading of this contract commenced on September 24, 2024, and it is set to expire on November 29, 2024. This new product aims to provide traders with additional opportunities to engage in Bitcoin futures trading.

Other Active Contracts

BitMEX continues to offer a variety of Bitcoin futures contracts. Alongside XBTX24, the platform currently lists several other contracts, each with distinct listing and settlement dates. For instance:

  • XBTU24: Listed on December 12, 2023, and will settle on September 27, 2024.
  • XBTV24: Listed on August 27, 2024, and will settle on October 25, 2024.
  • XBTZ24: Listed on March 12, 2024, and will settle on December 27, 2024.
  • XBTH25: Listed on June 11, 2024, and will settle on March 28, 2025.
  • XBTM25: Listed on September 10, 2024, and will settle on June 27, 2025.
