Monex Group, Inc. today announced that its new web3 business brand “Monex Web3” launched the open beta version of Monex Web3 ID (“MID”), an ID on the blockchain associated with an individual.
MID is easy to use even for those who are not familiar with the blockchain or web3 and can be obtained free of charge by anyone as a digital ID issued on the blockchain in connection with a personal wallet. After completing user registration with their email address, wallets will be automatically issued. Users can also issue a MID by connecting their wallet such as MetaMask.
MID is a Soulbound Token (SBT) such that it cannot be transferred to other wallets; possession of MID grants an identity function on the blockchain, access to various services, privileges, and proof functions.
Soulbound Token (SBT) is a non-transferable NFT that functions as a digital ID associated with an individual.
Once you hold an MID, you will be able to perform specific actions within various services provided by the Monex Group and other cooperative projects. By completing quests, you will earn “Monex Web3 Score,” a score associated with MIDs.
How to receive MID:

Visit the official MID website and click the “Login” button in the upper right corner.

Enter your email address to register as a user.

Click on the login URL in the email you received to log in.

Click on the “Connect” button and select the wallet that will receive the MID.

If you do not have a wallet, click “Use In-Service Wallet”; if you want to use MetaMask, click “Use MetaMask”.
- Clicking on “Mint MID” will complete the issuance.
