Exclusive: IC Markets builds new Australia team led by General Manager Peter Tardent. FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that leading Australia based Retail FX and CFDs broker IC Markets has formed a new management team to drive its Australian operations, following the passing late last year of General Manager Ben Singleton. The refreshed leadership team will be led by Peter Tardent, who joins IC Markets as General Manager, Australia.
Nordic Capital acquires financial data and analytics provider BMLL. Following its acquisition earlier this year (alongside other private equity investors) of UK online broker Hargreaves Lansdown, Stockholm based Nordic Capital has announced an agreement to acquire BMLL, a leading independent provider of harmonised historical order book data and analytics.
XTB revenues plunge 35% in Q3 2025 to $103 million on low volatility. Following a record start to the year with two strong (and quite similar) quarters in Q1 and Q2, Poland based Retail FX and CFDs broker XTB SA (WSE:XTB) has reported a sharp drop in both Revenues and Profits for Q3 2025. Revenues at XTB for the third quarter of 2025 came in at PLN 375.3 million (USD $103 million), down by more than a third (35%) from $160 million in each of Q1 and Q2. Q3’s top-line result was the lowest at XTB since Q3 of 2023, two years ago.
FCA warns CFDs traders of high-pressure techniques to be labelled professional clients. UK financial regulator The FCA has issued an interesting warning to people who invest in Contracts for Difference (CFDs), urging them not to give up vital consumer protections by the FCA, when they are defined as “retail” traders. The FCA has also found investors are being targeted by finfluencers, who may not make it clear that they are promoting unregulated firms operating offshore.
Robinhood UK launches futures trading. US neobroker Robinhood Markets (NASDAQ:HOOD) has announced that its FCA regulated arm Robinhood U.K. Ltd is launching futures trading for UK clients, giving customers the ability to trade index, energy, metals, and foreign exchange futures directly in the Robinhood app and on Robinhood Legend. Customers can access 40+ CME Group futures products — including futures on the S&P 500, oil, gold, and more — with low fees, seamless mobile and desktop access, and one-tap ladder execution. Robinhood UK added Options trading earlier this year.
