FNG has learned that longtime ICM.com executive Wassim Anastasiou has left the company, to join rival Retail FX and CFDs broker Traze, as Regional Director MENA.
The move comes after Traze received a Category One license earlier this year from UAE financial regulator SCA.
Wassim Anastasiou had spent the past ten years with ICM.com in both London and Dubai, most recently in 2024-2025 serving as Director of Operations and Senior Executive Officer for ICM.com in the UAE.
Traze offers online trading services in multiple jurisdictions, and is operated mainly from Dubai. Part of the Zeal Group, the company also holds a South Africa FSCA license, an FCA license in the UK (under the ZFX brand), and operates an offshore entity in Seychelles. Traze and Zeal Group are controlled by Chinese national Yun Chen.
Wassim posted the following note on social media regarding his move to Traze.
A new chapter begins.
After nearly a decade with ICM.com, it’s time to take the next step in my journey. I’m excited to share that I’ve joined Traze as Regional Director – MENA.
The years at ICM shaped me and gave me the foundation to lead with purpose. They were filled with challenges, growth, late nights, lessons, and some of the best people I’ve ever worked with. I’m deeply grateful to everyone who was part of that journey and to those who made the experience truly meaningful.
Now, at Traze a Category 1 licensed broker in the UAE. The focus is on growth, innovation, and regional impact.
Traze is built around a clear vision to set new standards in transparency, execution, and client experience across global markets. I’m proud to be part of a leadership team bold enough to challenge convention and driven enough to build something lasting.
Here’s to new challenges, new ambitions, and a future worth building. 🤙 🚀
