NEW DELHI: Airtel Payments Bank Tuesday said it has enabled Fastag-based parking payments at Jayprakash Narayan International Airport in Patna.
Airtel Payments Bank said that the Fastag-based parking would enable automatic cashless payments at the airport exit, ensuring seamless and efficient vehicle movement within airport parking zones. The parking fee will be deducted from the valid Fastag affixed on the vehicle.
This will also help to curb the increasing congestion at the airport, according to the company. Airtel Payments Bank said that it is working with multiple partners to enable Fastag-based parking payments across the country.
The facility is already available at airports in Varanasi, Bhubaneswar, and Aurangabad.
“Customer convenience is of utmost importance to us. By enabling the Fastag-based parking payments, we aim to alleviate the time-consuming challenges faced in busy airport parking lots, ultimately enhancing the overall travel experience for our customers,” said Ganesh Ananthanarayanan, Chief Operating Officer, Airtel Payments Bank. Airtel Payments Bank claims to be among the top five issuers of Fastag in the country.
