Banks across India are closed on national holidays, state-specific holidays along with second and fourth Saturdays in the month and all Sundays, according to the Reserve Bank of India holiday list.
The central bank designates certain holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act, Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) holidays, and Banks’ Closing of Accounts.

The final phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections is scheduled for June 1. This phase will cover 57 Lok Sabha constituencies in eight states and UT. - June 17 (Monday)- Bakri ID (Id-Uz-Zuha)- Bakri Eid banks will remain closed across India, except in Mizoram, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh.
- June 18 (Tuesday): Banks will be closed in Jammu and Srinagar on the occasion of Bakri ID (Id-Uz-Zuha).
