Education-focused non-banking financial company Avanse Financial Services on Tuesday said it has brought on board Vikrant Gandhi as its chief financial officer.

Gandhi has over 28 years of experience across BFSI, automobile, and other consumer brand sectors. In his previous stint, he was CFO of ICICI Home Finance for the last more than six years. He has been with ICICI Bank for almost a decade.

In his new stint, Gandhi will focus on financial strategising to ensure Avanse Financial Services remains steady on its growth trajectory, and he will be responsible for strengthening the organisation across governance, compliance, risk, liability and asset positions, the company said in a release.

“Vikrant has a proven track record of financial and operational success in this fast-evolving business landscape,” said Amit Gainda, managing director and CEO of Avanse Financial Services. “His financial and business understanding, strategic insight and leadership qualities will be critical in enabling us to fulfil our purpose of democratising education and education financing in India.”

Gandhi has experience in managing the treasury vertical, financial planning and business analytics, financial accounting and reporting, and overall governance framework comprising legal, compliance, taxation, secretarial and more.

At ICICI HFC, he was responsible for strategising the company’s liability structure by optimising the cost of funds and the asset-liability gap management through diversification of the borrowing profile.
