Sumit Bali, the current group executive for retail lending at Axis Bank resigned from his role on Wednesday. His last working day will be June 16, the bank said.

Bali had joined Axis in 2020. Before joining the bank, Bali was the CEO of IIFL Finance for two years. He worked at Kotak Mahindra Bank from 2014 to 2018, where he handled consumer banking retail asset products.

Axis has also appointed Anuranjan Kumar as the chief compliance officer for a three-year term until June 2027.

Kumar succeeds Bimal Bhattacharyya who will take up another role with the bank upon completing his tenure. – Our Bure
