Kolkata-based Bandhan Bank opened its branch in the Leh district of Union Territory (UT), Ladakh, marking its presence in 35 of the 36 states and UTs of India, the bank announced on Wednesday.
On its eighth foundation day, Bandhan Bank also opened another branch in Srinagar, J&K.
“It has been a great ride in these eight years of Bandhan Bank. With the opening of our Leh branch, we have established our presence in another union territory and enhanced our presence,” said Bandhan Bank’s Founder, MD and CEO, Chandra Shekhar Ghosh.
The bank will continue to expand its footprint to reach a wider population across the country, he added.
The bank also boasts to have a strong network across the country with more than 6100 banking outlets and 3 crore customers.
Inauguration of its new branches was not all of it. Bandhan bank also launched its new musical logo which has been composed by one of the leading musicians of India, Amit Trivedi.
“The musical logo has been developed to resonate the values that Bandhan Bank carries in its core,” it said in a release.
HDFC Bank Director, Keki Mistry was invited as the chief guest and speaking at the occasion, he said, “Having seen the journey of Bandhan Bank from close quarters, I know their steadfast commitment to purpose-driven banking, reaching the right audiences.”
Aware of the intent to catalyse meaningful change in the lives of its customers, Mistry added.
