FNG had reported exclusively back in August that Ben Singleton had joined IC Markets as General Manager, and effective “#2” to IC Markets founder, controlling shareholder and longtime CEO Andrew Budzinski.

Ben Singleton spent 17 years with France based international banking group Credit Agricole, serving as Executive Director in Singapore and Head of G10 FX Trading – Asia, before leaving in 2023 and then joining IC Markets in mid 2024. He has also previously worked in the APAC region for Bank of America, and for Commonwealth Bank. Ben was also a former Australian national soccer player, who represented his country in indoor hardcourt Futsal.

Finalto institutional sales executive Cal Portway posted the following note today on social media regarding Ben’s passing.

It’s with great sadness that I share this post. Sadly Ben Singleton passed away on the 24th of December. Benny was a loving husband and father of two gorgeous girls. For those that had the pleasure of meeting Benny or spending time with him would know that he was an absolute gentleman, down to earth boy from Western Sydney who was always up for a beer and a laugh.

Ben was a gun FX Trader from his young days and through his career of 20+ years across the APAC region mentored, guided and managed a lot of people.

He will be sorely missed by his family and anybody he came in contact with.

For those who can make it and want to share there condolences there will be a celebration of his life held at North Chapel of Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Camden Valley Way. Tuesday the 7th of January @ 2.30pm.
