Bitfarms Ltd. (Nasdaq/TSX: BITF), a global Bitcoin mining company, has announced the results of its annual general and special meeting of shareholders held virtually on May 31, 2024. The meeting, attended by shareholders representing 39.8% of the company’s issued and outstanding common shares, saw significant decisions impacting the company’s board and future operations, according to GlobeNewswire.

Auditor Reappointment and Other Resolutions

Shareholders approved the reappointment of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as the company’s auditors for the coming year, with 145,721,819 votes in favor and 3,774,608 votes withheld. Additionally, an ordinary resolution to renew Bitfarms’ long-term equity incentive plan was passed with 53,277,873 votes for and 36,204,123 against.
