Electronic trading major IG Group Holdings plc (LON:IGG) today confirmed the appointment of Breon Corcoran as its CEO.
The company first announced the appointment in December 2023. Today, IG said it the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) had approved the appointment.
Breon Corcoran has led teams in businesses in Europe, Australia, and the US.
He held the position of CEO at Zepz from 2018 to 2022. Prior to Zepz, he was CEO at Paddy Power Betfair, where he led the merger of Betfair and Paddy Power in 2016.
Mr Corcoran’s career begun as Vice-President in Equity Derivative Trading at J.P Morgan. He has also worked at Bankers Trust.
He has been the Chairman at Auction Technology Group since 2020.
Breon Corcoran holds a BA in Mathematics from Trinity College, Dublin, and an MBA from INSEAD.
