Cyprus based executive Themis Christou has announced that he has left his position as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of prop trading firm The Trading Pit. His departure comes soon after The Trading Pit co-founder Christoph Radecker, and Thomas Heyden, who served as CEO of the company’s Liechtenstein Office, both left the company.
Themis Christou joined The Trading Pit in mid 2022 after serving as Group Head Of Marketing with FX/CFD broker M4Markets, as was exclusively reported at the time here at FNG. Themis was one of a handful of senior Tickmill employees who left in late 2020 / early 2021 to help establish M4Markets as a new online brokerage brand. His joining The Trading Pit was a return of sorts, with The Trading Pit being spun out of Tickmill co-founder Illimar Mattus’ Pinorena Capital.
Themis posted the following note today on social media about his departure from The Trading Pit.
After a challenging yet enlightening two years with The Trading Pit, I am pleased to announce that I am moving in a new direction.
From the outset, my team and I built the brand from the ground up, pouring endless hours and weekends into laying the foundations and nurturing it to the stature it holds today.
Though our quiet diligence and sacrifices often remained behind the scenes, the outcomes have spoken for themselves. I extend my deepest gratitude to my remarkable team for their unwavering support and extraordinary commitment.
Looking ahead, I am thrilled to embark on an exciting new venture that promises not only to leverage my skills but also to set new standards in the industry. The details of this next chapter, which I will share soon, are poised to make a significant impact.
Stay tuned for what’s coming next!
