FNG Exclusive… While a number of leading crypto exchanges are expanding out into “traditional” finance and trading products, neobank Revolut is moving to meet them in the other direction.
FNG has learned that UK based Revolut has hired Binance executive Reem Khayat, to lead product marketing for Crypto at Revolut. Reem had been with Binance for the past three years, serving as Marketing Lead MENA, heading marketing for the Middle East and North Africa while overseeing strategy, operations, and growth at Binance, out of the company’s offices in Dubai.
Reem had also previously worked at Amsterdam based payments platform Mollie, at Booking.com, and at Uber, in a variety of marketing roles.
Revolut has been making moves to branch out into other areas of finance lately. We reported exclusively last month that Revolut brought on board the former CEO of CFDs broker Markets.com, Cyprus based executive Stavros Anastasiou, as a Board Advisor. The company also recently hired an EU CEO, Paris based executive Béatrice Cossa-Dumurgier.
