FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that leading crypto exchange Kraken has named London based executive Lana Sinelnikova as the Chief Compliance Officer for its UK entity. She will also serve as Kraken UK’s SMF 16 officer.
Lana Sinelnikova initially joined Kraken in late 2022 as Head of Compliance and Risk, after serving in a similar role for a year and a half at banking app service provider Revolut. From 2018-2021 Lana served as Compliance Director at institutional FX services company TradeTech Alpha, later known as Finalto.
FNG readers will recall that Lana Sinelnikova won a wrongful dismissal claim against Retail FX and CFDs broker ActivTrades at a UK employment tribunal hearing in 2020, as was also exclusively reported at the time here at FNG. Lana had served as ActivTrades’ Head of Compliance, and Compliance and AML Manager from 2011-2018.
