FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that leading UK online broker IG Group (LON:IGG) has named Matthew Davidson as CEO at its IG Australia & New Zealand unit.
Based out of Melbourne, Matthew Davidson has been with IG for 19 years. He began his IG career as a sales trader in 2005 in London, eventually becoming Chief Futures Dealer and Deputy Head of Futures and FX for IG. In 2012 Mr. Davidson moved to IG’s Australia office, as Head of Dealing. For the past five years he served as Commercial Director for IG Australia.
Matthew Davidson’s promotion fills the void left by Kevin Algeo’s promotion within IG several years ago to CEO – APAC & Africa, although until now he continued to also serve as IG Australia CEO.
London based IG Group, one of the world’s largest online brokers, recently named former WorldRemit and Paddy Power Betfair CEO Breon Corcoran as CEO of the company.
