FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that Julie Ros has joined private market operating system provider Templum, as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).

Julie Ros is best known in the FX trading world as the founder and longtime CEO and Editor-in-Chief of Profit & Loss magazine, which for 20 years was a leading source of information about the institutional FX trading world. Profit & Loss also ran a series of institutional FX industry conferences and events, but shut down in late 2020, a victim of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since her days at Profit & Loss, Julie Ros has served as a marketing consultant or outsourced-CMO to a number of ventures including Dmitri Galinov’s 24 Exchange, now bankrupt institutional crypto firm Genesis Global, and institutional peer-to-peer matching platform FX Hedgepool.

Templum is based in New York, billing itself as the operating system for private markets and alternative assets. The company’s Templum One is a private markets and alternative assets ecosystem solution, that connects issuers, investors, custodians, transfer agents and other market participants and facilitates access to high-quality alternatives and private securities across a broad range of investors.

Julie Ros posted today on social media about her new appointment at Templum:

I’m thrilled to join Templum and help tell the story of how it is modernizing access to private markets and alternative assets. With AUM in alternatives poised for rapid growth over the next several years, yet constrained by outdated processes, Templum is providing the technology that is helping the industry harness this growth.

Templum also posted about hiring Julie:

Templum is pleased to announce that Julie Ros has joined as Chief Marketing Officer. During her time as a journalist, Julie has written extensively about the electronification of the foreign exchange market and advent of digital assets and fractionalization. She joins Templum at a similar inflection point for private markets and alternative assets, which suffer from many of the same fragmentation and legacy processes that FX once did. Julie’s experience fits right in with our mission to modernize market access, connecting a broader class of investments with a broader set of investors through robust technology and regulatory-compliant solutions.
