FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that Retail FX and CFDs broker StarTrader has hired experienced industry executive Ahmed Eskandar as Sales Director for MENA.
Ahmed Eskandar, who is based in Dubai, joins StarTrader from rival broker Accuindex, where he spent the past eight years as Sales Manager for Accuindex MENA.
The new hire comes after StarTrader unit STARTRADER GLOBAL Financial Consultation & Financial Analysis received a Category Five license from UAE financial regulator Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) earlier this year, as was also exclusively reported at the time here at FNG. The new license, and new Sales Director hire, seem to indicate that StarTrader is looking to increase its footprint in the UAE and the MENA region in general.
StarTrader (at website startrader.com) has until now operated as an offshore (Seychelles and Mauritius) domiciled broker, with the group also operating the ASIC licensed StarTrader Prime brand in Australia (website startraderprime.com.au). The StarTrader group is run by London based CEO Peter Karsten (pictured above).
