The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) today issued a warning against a clone of Admiral Markets.
Clones are unauthorised entities that claim to be authorised by abusing the data – name, address, logo, etc. – of authorised firms. Despite their superficial resemblance to the authorised firms, the clones have nothing to do with the licensed businesses.
The FCA is warning against dealing with Admiral EU Brokers/Admiraleubrokerz.com. This firm is not authorised by the FCA but has been contacting people pretending to be an authorised firm.
Clone firm details
Name: Admiral EU Brokers/Admiraleubrokerz.com (clone of FCA authorised firm)
Email: assistenza.clienti@admiraleubrokerz.com
Website: www.Admiraleubrokerz.com
FCA authorised firm details
This is the genuine, authorised firm that the fraudsters are claiming to work for. It has no connection with the clone firm.
The correct details are:
Firm Name: Admiral Markets UK Ltd
Firm Reference Number: 595450
Address: Admiral Markets UK Ltd
2 Leman Street
London, E1 8FA, UNITED KINGDOM
Telephone: +4402077264003
Email: compliance.uk@admiralmarkets.com
Website: www.admiralmarkets.com
If you deal with the clone, you won’t have access to the Financial Ombudsman Service if you have a complaint.
You also won’t be protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) if things go wrong. This means it’s unlikely you’d get your money back if the firm goes out of business.
The FCA has previously warned against Admiral Markets’ clones.
