Bank holidays February 2024: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released a schedule detailing bank closures for the month. Across various states in India, banks will be closed for a total of 10 days in February 2024. These closures include the routine second and fourth Saturdays, as well as Sundays. However, it’s important to note that certain holidays are specific to particular states or regions.
According to ET, the RBI has categorised these holidays into three groups: those falling under the Negotiable Instruments Act, those combined with Real-Time Gross Settlement Holidays, and closures for Banks’ Closing of Accounts.
In February 2024, banks in select states will observe closures for occasions such as Losar, Basanta Panchami/Saraswati Puja (Shree Panchami), Lui-Ngai-Ni, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti, State Day/Statehood Day, and Nyokum.
