FNG has learned that Mehtap Önder, head of the Dubai office of digital prime broker GCEX, has left the company to join financial super app provider Fasset, as Managing Director.
Mehtap Önder joined GCEX in 2022, as London/Copenhagen based GCEX was expanding into the MENA region with the opening of a new Dubai office. Mehtap was previously one of GCEX founder Lars Holst’s colleagues at institutional broker CFH/Finalto, serving as Regional Director of CFH Turkey (now Finalto) from 2014-2019.
Dubai based Fasset focuses on markets in Asia and Africa, allowing its users to manage all of their digital and real-world financial assets, in their currency of choice. The company is regulated under Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA).
Mehtap posted the following note on social media regarding her move to Fasset.
