Goldman Sachs, on Monday announced the appointment of Sudarshan Ramakrishnan and Devarajan Nambakam as co-heads of Investment Banking in India.

This move is aimed at enhancing the firm’s investment banking strategy and expanding client relationships across various industry sectors in the rapidly growing Indian market.

Both Ramakrishnan and Nambakam will report directly to Sonjoy Chatterjee, chairman and CEO of Goldman Sachs in India. This leadership has previously served as co-chief operating officers of Investment Banking in India.

In addition to these appointments, Goldman Sachs has welcomed Sunil Khaitan as managing director and head of Financing in India. Khaitan’s role will focus on delivering innovative equity and debt solutions to clients, further bolstering the firm’s capabilities in the region.

Ramakrishnan previously served as the co-chief operating officer of Investment Banking in India. He has been responsible for client coverage in India across Technology, Media & Telecom, Consumer & Retail, Metals & Mining and select large conglomerates and Nambakam previously served as co-chief operating officer of Investment Banking in India. He has covered clients across the Financial Sponsors, Natural Resources, Healthcare, Industrials and Infrastructure sectors.
