Hyderabad: In a major booster for Hyderabad’s banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) sector, US-based banking and financial services giant Goldman Sachs will be expanding its presence in the city to 3,000 employees with a new office.
Goldman Sachs, which set up its presence in Hyderabad in July 2021, will open its new eight-floor office in the city as part of plans to beef up its headcount. Currently, it houses around 1,000 employees in Hyderabad.
The announcement was made by IT & industries minister KTR’s office after the minister, who is on the US tour, met Goldman Sachs chairman & CEO David M Solomon in New York on Wednesday.
The new centre will become a centre of excellence for consumer banking services, business analytics, and platform engineering and will also focus on emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning . tnn
