Google Cloud has announced its partnership with Axis My India on Thursday at the Google for India 2023 annual event, to build an inclusive and multilingual super-app called “a”.
This collaborative effort aims to address the issue of information accessibility, which has been a setback in many rural parts of India.
Through the super-app “a”, the companies will try to make it easier and faster for Indians to access information about government social welfare programs, everyday necessities, job opportunities, and healthcare benefits.
What makes it unique is its multilingual capability, ensuring that it caters to the diverse linguistic needs of the country.
Powered by Google Cloud’s Gen AI technology, “a” will not only provide real-time, personalized responses to user queries but will also learn and improve over time as it tracks interactions from the initial query to the delivery of the final benefit to citizens, the tech giant highlighted.
By leveraging Google Cloud technologies, we aim to create an inclusive platform that truly empowers citizens with authentic information and solutions based on their needs, said Pradeep Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director, Axis My India.
The impact of years of digitalization has become strikingly evident today, with its reach extending even to the remotest corners of rural regions.
“Axis My India’s extensive reach and expertise affords us an unprecedented opportunity to bring information equity between rural and urban India through our platform. This free of cost app will act like a ‘Guide to every Citizen’,” he added.
