Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman during her Budget speech at the Lok Sabha on Tuesday said that the union government will prepare a vision and strategy document for the financial sector.
She said that this will prepare the sector in terms of size, capacity and skills and would also further guide the work of the government, regulators, financial institutions and the market participants.
“For meeting financing needs of the economy our government will bring out a financial sector vision and strategy document to prepare the sector in terms of size, capacity and skills,” Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman stated during her speech.
She further added that this will set the agenda for the next 5 years and guide the work of the government, regulators, financial institutions and the market participants.
