The Opposition coalition of parties led by the INDIA bloc was trailing once again in Uttar Pradesh with around 29 seats while the NDA was leading with 47 seats, as per early trends around 10:00 am.
Exit polls conducted on Saturday by major television channels predict a decisive victory for Prime Minister Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party and its allies, outpacing a broad opposition alliance led by the Congress party and its main campaigner, Rahul Gandhi.

Key candidates in the UP polls include PM Narendra Modi seeking a third term from Varanasi, and Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh aiming for a third term from Lucknow. Rahul Gandhi is running in Raebareli, while Union Minister Smriti Irani seeks a second term from Amethi.
Akhilesh Yadav is contesting from Kannauj. Other notable candidates include Hema Malini (Mathura), Arun Govil (Meerut), Ravi Kishan (Gorakhpur), Dinesh Lal Yadav Nirahua (Azamgarh), Maneka Gandhi (Sultanpur), Jitin Prasada (Pilibhit), and Dimple Yadav (Mainpuri).
