HDFC Bank is conducting a system upgrade on Saturday, July 13, 2024, to upgrade and enhance customers’ banking experience by improving performance speed, expanding capacity for high traffic and boosting overall reliability.

HDFC Bank increases loan interest rates by up to 10 basis points; loan EMIs to rise further

HDFC Bank scheduled downtime is on Saturday, 13th July 2024.
Scheduled Upgrade Details:

  • Start: 3:00 AM on Saturday, 13th July 2024
  • End: 4:30 PM on Saturday, 13th July 2024

HDFC Bank has released a detailed FAQ on the scheduled downtime giving details about the services that will be available and what will not during the upgrade. Here is the full list.

HDFC Bank Account holders can continue to use the following UPI services from 3:45 AM to 9:30 AM and 12:45 PM onwards

  • Send and receive money
  • Merchant payment (QR or online)
  • Balance enquiry
  • Set or change pin

Not Available
For HDFC Bank Account holders the following UPI services will not be available from 3:00 AM to 3:45 AM and from 9:30 AM to 12:45 PM

  • Send and receive money
  • Merchant payment (QR or online)
  • Balance enquiry
  • Set or change pin

ATM Services
Available
The following services will be available from 3:00 AM to 3:45 AM and 9:30 AM to 12:45 PM with restricted limits*

  • Cash withdrawal (with restricted limits mentioned below)
  • Balance enquiry
  • Cheque book/statement request
  • Set pin/change pin
  • Mobile number update
  • SMS registration

Except during time mentioned above, All transactions will work in online normal mode (with full limit associated to the card and available balance in account).Not Available
The following services will not be available from 3:00 AM to 3:45 AM and from 9:30 AM to 12:45 PM.

  • Bill Payments: New billers can be added and existing billers can be viewed

All NetBanking & MobileBanking services will not be available from 3:00 AM to 4:30 PM except for a few services mentioned in the Available services column.

IMPS

Outward (Pay) & Inward (Receive) fund transfer will not be available from 3:00 AM to 4:30 PM during the system upgrade.

NEFT/RTGS (Outward)
Not available
Payout via NEFT/RTGS will not be available between 3:00 AM to 4:30 PM during the system upgrade

NEFT/RTGS (Inward)

  • Credits Received will be processed with a delay post-completion of the system upgrade.

Debit Cards

The following services will be available with restricted limits* between 3:00 AM to 3:45 AM and 9:30 AM to 12:45 PM

Following enquiry & non-financial transactions will be available without any impact:

RuPay UPI Credit Card

The following services will continue to be available – Scan & Pay and Online Payments will be available through all Bank and third-party apps which allow RuPay Credit Card linking (except Mobikwik & ShriramPay for limited period as given in the Not Available column.

Scan & Pay and Online Payments through Mobikwik & Shriram Pay will not be available from 3:00 AM to 3:45 AM and 9:30 AM to 12:45 PM during the system upgrade.

Standing Instructions (SI) and Auto Debit Transaction (in any form)

The following service updates will be carried out post the system upgrade:
New or existing Standing Instructions done via NEFT & RTGS between 3:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Any existing Standing Instructions for Account to Account and Account to Fixed Deposit (FD) will be completed on Saturday, 13th July before 3:00 AM and or post 4:30 PM.

Merchant Standing Instructions will be processed basis the restricted limits* based on the Debit Card variant as shown below.

Standing Instructions for ECS, NACH, UPI and NetBanking will not be available from 3:00 AM to 4:30 PM during the system upgrade.

e-Mandate

All Services under e-Mandate will not be available from 3:00 AM to 4.30 PM during the system upgrade.

WhatsApp ChatBanking
Available
The following services under WhatsApp ChatBanking will continue to be available without any impact.

WhatsApp ChatBanking Registration

  • All Credit Card services – Credit Card Summary, Statement, Status of Credit Card, Activation of New Cards, Summary of existing insta loan and jumbo loan on Cards
  • All Loan services like Loan Summary, Loan statement, Check Loan offers, Loan Provisional Interest Certificate
  • Merchants Services.

The following services under WhatsApp ChatBanking will not be available from 3:00 AM to 4.30 PM during the system upgrade
