New Delhi: The finance ministry has no plan as of now to set up any panel to look into US-based short-seller Hindenburg Research’s allegations against Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch, an official said.
Earlier this month, Hindenburg accused Buch and her husband of having had stakes in obscure offshore funds allegedly used in investments in the Adani companies.
Amid the political slugfest over the allegations, there were speculations that the finance ministry could set up a panel to probe the matter. “We haven’t decided any such thing,” the official cited above said.
