FNG has learned that longtime industry veteran Andrew Gibson has joined offshore Retail FX and CFDs broker SGT Markets (website sgt.markets), for a senior Business Development and Liquidity Management role.
In a career dating back to the 1980s, Andrew Gibson has worked in senior FX sales and product management positions at a number of known retail and institutional/B2B FX firms including TraderTools, TradAir, ABN Amro Bank, FastMatch (now EuronextFX), Refco, and BCS Financial. More recently Andrew was Head of Institutional Sales for Alfa Capital Markets in Cyprus, until Alfa was basically forced to shutter its European operations in 2022 in the wake of EU sanctions against Russia.
He also served as Head of Product Development, FX and CFDs at Tavira Securities Dubai, helping asset manager Tavira build an FX and CFDs brokerage business, out of Dubai.
SGT Markets is run by Florida based Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer Martyn Price. The company (operated by Sterling Gent Trading Ltd) is domiciled and licensed in the British Virgin Islands (BVI).
