Retail FX and CFDs broker Monaxa has announced that it has hired experienced industry executive Omar Al-Janabi as CEO MENA, expanding its capabilities in the greater MENA region.

Omar Al-Janabi, based in Spain, left his role as Global Head of Sales and Business Development at online broker TopFX last month, as was exclusively reported at the time here at FNG. Omar had been with TopFX for four years, initially joining the company in 2021 to head TopFX’s then-new Dubai office. He had joined TopFX from Tickmill, where he was MENA Partnership Manager. Omar has also worked at Swiss Markets, FXPrimus, and XM.com in a variety of client facing roles.

Monaxa is an offshore (Anguilla and Mauritius domiciled) CFDs broker, which to date had been focusing mainly on markets across the Far East. The company is run out of Cyprus by CEO Chris Trikomitis.

Omar posted the following note on social media regarding his move to Monaxa.

It’s been more than a decade in this industry, a journey of relentless learning, growth, and innovation. Today, I am proud to be part of Monaxa, not just as a broker, but as a comprehensive investment hub with more reveals and surprises on the way.

I’m stepping forward as #CEO of Monaxa’s MENA region, joining forces once again with Chris Trikomitis, the visionary who first believed in me over ten years ago when he appointed me MENA Regional Manager.

Experience taught me one thing that trumps everything else: work with people who value you, not those who feel threatened by your growth. Chris embodies authentic leadership, he elevates, empowers, and inspires.

At Monaxa, we push boundaries, innovate relentlessly, and aim for technological excellence and client-first solutions. The market never stops evolving, and neither do we.

The golden era begins here, grounded in trust, driven by innovation, and destined for extraordinary success. Now, action.
