Rakuten Group has completed the transfer of 14.99% of its common shares in Rakuten Card Co., Ltd. to Mizuho Financial Group, Inc.
The transfer was completed on December 1, 2024.
Additionally, effective December 1, 2024, Rakuten Insurance Holdings Co., Ltd., which had been a consolidated subsidiary of Rakuten Card, changed its parent company to Rakuten Group through an in-kind dividend transaction by Rakuten Card in favor of Rakuten Group.
