US neobroker Robinhood (NASDAQ:HOOD) has announced plans to expand in Canada, initially with a hiring expansion for Robinhood Canada in Toronto.
Most of the positions being currently advertised for Robinhood Canada are in Engineering and Security. It remains unclear at this stage whether or not this is just a hire-talent-abroad exercise for Robinhood, or a first step in actually launching service in Canada for Canadian traders and investors at some point in the near future.
