SBM Bank India on Friday announced the appointment of Ashish Vijayakar as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer for a period of three years from February 17.
The appointment has been made as per the approval accorded by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) vide its letter dated February 6, 2024, according to a statement.
Vijayakar, a veteran banker, comes with around 30 years of experience, in the banking and financial services sector. Previously, he worked at Standard Chartered Bank as Co-Head and MD.

Vijayakar holds a CA from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, and an LLB (General) from Bombay University.
