Jana Small Finance Bank has revised its interest rates on fixed deposits of less than Rs 2 crore. The new FD interest rates are applicable from August 15, 2023, according to Jana Small Finance Bank website.

Latest Jana SFB FD rates
The bank gives an interest rate of 3% on fixed deposits that mature in 7–14 days, and Jana SFB offers an interest rate of 4.25% on deposits that mature in 15–60 days. On deposits with tenors of 61 to 90 days, Jana SFB offers an interest rate of 5.00%, and on deposits with tenors of 91 to 180 days is 7%.

Deposits that mature in 181-364 days will receive interest at a rate of 7.75%, while deposits that mature in a year (365 days) will earn 8% interest rate. The bank is giving an interest rate of 8.50% on fixed deposits that mature in 2 years to 3 years (1095 Days), whereas Jana SFB is offering an interest rate of 7.25% on deposits that mature in 3 year to less than 5 years and 6.50% for deposits maturing in the following five to ten years.

Senior citizens FD rates
Jana SFB offers an interest rate between 3.50% to 9% for senior citizens and highest interest rate of 9% is offered on tenure of 2 years to 3 years (1095 Days). According to the website, “Only Resident Indian Senior Citizens (of 60 years and above age) are eligible for the above-mentioned Senior Citizen Interest rate specified. The special rates are applicable only for Resident deposits.”

Premature withdrawal
If the deposit is withdrawn prematurely, the interest will not be paid at the contracted rate. In such circumstances, interest will be paid at the applicable rate of interest for the duration of the deposit with us, less the premature withdrawal penalty rate, which is as follows:
a. Fixed Deposit less than Rs 200 Lakhs –0.5%
b. Fixed Deposits greater than or equal to Rs 200 Lakhs – 1%.
