Urgo Capital limited has announced Om Sharma as its Chief operating Officer on Monday. In a strategic move to strengthen its leadership and digital activities in empowering MSMEs, the company has moved forward with this decision which would give UGRO’s strong 140-member internal technology team and over 200-member operations team strategic oversight.
If we talk about his background and career path, Sharma has completed his MBA in Strategy and Finance from the well known Indian School of Business (ISB). He was first serving important technological and transformation roles at Digi Flynt and Emirates NBD, showcasing a talent for creating companies and products from scratch. He had prior affiliations with IBM Global Business Services and The Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
Then he was appointed as the Chief digital officer at AU Small finance bank before joining UGRO Capital and he intends to use his skills as an established leader of strategy and digital transformation to raise UGRO’s profile in the MSME sector. He has a successful track record of over 20 years.
